Why is my payment delayed or not received?

Last updated: August 28, 2025

There are several common reasons why a payment might fail or take longer than expected. Most issues relate to processing times, incorrect details, or mismatched information. Here’s what to check:

Processing times

Transactions do take a little time. If it’s a fiat transfer, it’s processed during banking hours. Rest assured, your funds are on their way! You can check the standard processing times for your specific transaction type here.

Note: If a transaction appears as pending, it simply means that our provider and banking partner are still processing it. Once the transaction status changes to cleared or appears in black, it generally indicates that the payment has been successfully sent to the recipient.

Mismatched Payment Methods (SEPA vs SWIFT)

If you send a SEPA payment but the beneficiary provided SWIFT details, or vice versa, the payment may fail or be delayed. Always confirm the correct payment method with the beneficiary before sending funds.

Incorrect details

Even small errors in names or account numbers can make payments fail. Always double-check your info.
